Cutting Wood

On Thursday we cut more wood to prepare for winter.

This is Hayzel with a chain saw. He thought it was a little bit too loud. 

We use the chainsaw on this bench. We lay a tree across it. We cut the tree into logs.

This is an axe. We use the axe to split the logs into pieces that will burn well.

You can see here the big round logs are before and the split pieces are after. The stump where Hayzel and Felicity are sitting is where we split the logs.

Felicity's Mom accidentally cut her leg on a rusty piece of metal so we had to get her a Tetanus shot. Ouch.
